Many people find online stores they want to purchase from, not realising that they are internationally based and don’t ship to Australia, until they are trying to place an order. By this time they could have spent hours finding the store and browsing products.
Don’t waste time looking through sites you can’t buy from because they don’t ship internationally. The team at Shop The Planet have scoured the internet world to find all online stores from other countries who ship to Australia.
Shop The Planet was started by Caroline Elle, like a lot of women, a self-confessed ‘shopaholic’. She explains why she started Shop The Planet:
“So, what is Shop The Planet? It is a site which contains details of international online stores
who ship to Australia. Why Shop the Planet? Well, I started this site because I was starting to find that no matter where I went shopping, all shops were selling the same stuff! I was sick of it. I hate going somewhere and seeing other girls wearing the same thing I am. I wanted to find something different that no one else had. I browsed online but still couldn’t even find many online stores with much variety. Not only this, I find that Australian sizing just doesn’t fit me very well. In August 2007 I took my first trip to LA. I loved everything about LA, particularly the shopping. There is so much to choose from, I could always find something to fit and had something for any budget. When I got back home I decided to see if any of the shops I visited in LA, had online stores and whether they shipped to Australia. I was surprised to find some of them did!
That started the search for me to find all international stores who would ship to Australia. I thought ‘it would be so much easier if I could find a directory that just gave me a list of stores who ship internationally’. After realising that there aren’t any the decision was made to create one myself to share with all Australians.

Reasons to shop internationally:
ü Be ahead of the pack. Get the newest fashions a season ahead – before they even hit Australia. When its Australia’s winter, the US is in its summer – get your summer fashions before everyone else.
ü Variety. Get something different from a huge selection of online stores.
ü Choice. Have a massive range of sizing and styles to choose from. Particularly helpful for those who may have special requirements.
ü Exchange rate. The Australian dollar is extremely strong, particularly if buying from the US at the moment.
ü American Express. Anyone with an Amex card will know how hard they are to use in Australia. But, in the US everywhere accepts them. Use your Amex whenever you shop at a US online store and start racking up heaps of frequent flyer points.
